RESTUMPING/
REBLOCKING
Restumping/reblocking, is the process in which existing stumps in a foundation are replaced with new ones. It is necessary for when the house stumps have settled as a result of soil movement, or when wooden stumps have rotted. It is also an important process for an older home that will be undergoing renovations, due to the added strain on the structure of the house.
UNDERPINNING
Underpinning is the reinforcement of an existing building foundation, when the original foundation is no longer strong enough to support the house.
Some possible reasons for this include: the original foundation not being strong or stable enough, the usage of the structure having changed, the properties of the soil supporting the foundation having changed, etc.
EXTENSION AND
SUB-FLOOR MAINTENANCE
An extension is an additional build attached to an existing structure. We build and maintain the sub-floor and foundation for the extension, to make sure the foundation and structure is levelled and strong.
Sub-floor maintenance is the maintenance of already existing structures to also make sure the foundation and structure remains levelled and strong
LEVELLING
Levelling is the process in which an uneven house is levelled out to be even by lifting the floors and walls of a house to an even level.
This is important, because a home that isn't levelled has an uneven foundation and sub-floor, therefore causing erosion, cracks in walls and roof, uneven walls and and floor, and so much more damage.
